NEET-UG 2025: New Paper Pattern and Shorter Time Can Affect Scores

The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) for undergraduate programs will see major changes in 2025. Candidates who are appearing for the examination should know the changes in the paper pattern and the shorter duration, which could affect their scores.

Changes in Paper Pattern

The NEET-UG 2025 test will have a revised paper pattern consisting of multiple-choice questions (MCQs) and case-based questions. The test will consist of two parts: Section A and Section B. Section A will have 35 MCQs, while Section B will have 15 case-based questions.

Decreased Time Limit

Another notable change is the lowering of the time limit. The duration of the exam has been reduced from 3 hours to 2 hours and 20 minutes. This modification could exert extra pressure on the students, who will have to be time-efficient to solve the exam in the given time.

The modifications in the paper pattern and the shortened time limit could affect the students' scores. The new pattern could make the students more conceptually strong and able to apply the concepts to case-based questions. The shortened time limit could also make the students commit errors or not be able to finish the exam on time.

Kerala Students May Be Affected

The changes can impact the students of Kerala the most because they are unfamiliar with the new pattern of the paper and less time given for the test. Nevertheless, the students can make the most out of the changes if they practice well and prepare well for the exam.

Preparation is Key

In order to clear the NEET-UG 2025 examination, students need to concentrate on developing a firm base in sciences, especially in biology, chemistry, and physics. Students should also practice answering case-based questions and time management. With commitment and perseverance, students can tackle the difficulties raised by the new paper pattern as well as the shorter time frame.
