Tata Motors has made progress in the automobile market. Tata's small SUV Punch became the second best-selling vehicle, beating Hyundai to the second position. Maruti retained the top spot with sales of 160,272 units in February 2024, with a growth of 8.7 percent over February last year. Tata came second with a growth of 19.6 percent and sales of 51,270 units. Hyundai came third with a growth of 6.9 percent and sales of 50,201 units. Mahindra was fourth with sales of 42,401 units, a growth of 40.3 percent. Toyota came fifth with sales of 23,300 units, a growth of 52.6 percent. Kia (20200 units), Honda (7142 units), MG (4532 units), Renault (4080 units) and Volkswagen (3019 units) are the top ten manufacturers.

Maruti Suzuki's hatchback WagonR topped the list with sales of 19,412 units. 15 percent increase compared to February last year. Tata's small SUV Punch has reached the second position. 65 percent growth compared to last February. 18438 units sold.

Maruti Suzuki's premium hatchback Baleno is third with sales of 17,515 units. 6 percent less sales compared to last February. Maruti's own compact sedan Dzire came in fourth place. 15837 units sold. 6 percent less sales compared to last February. Maruti's small SUV Brezza took the fifth spot with sales of 15,765 units.

Maruti's own MPV Ertiga is at the sixth position, selling 15,519 units. Hyundai Creta is at seventh position with 15276 units and Mahindra Scorpio is at eighth position with 15051 units. Tata Nexon (14,395 units) and Maruti Suzuki Fronts (14,168 units) occupied ninth and tenth positions.
